Jennifer Stafford-Brown
Jennifer works for a leading examinations board as a Chief Examiner, Senior Standards Verifier, qualification and examination writer, trainer for professional development events and writes a range of tutor support and learner resources. Jennifer has a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences, an MSc in Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition and a P.G.C.E in Science and Physical Educations. She has had experience in teaching in schools, colleges and higher education. She has been teaching all levels of BTEC Sports and Sport and Exercise Sciences courses since 1994 and is currently teaching in the FE sector. Jennifer is also the lead author of a number of Edexcel endorsed BTEC Sport course text books published by Hodder Arnold.

Julie Hancock
Julie is the Principal Standards Verifier for all BTEC Sport qualifications with a leading examining board. This role entails training subject related Senior Standards Verifiers, developing subject support materials, along with helping to design programme specifications. She also runs professional development training events for this examining board. She has contributed to several endorsed BTEC course text books including National Diploma Sport and National Diploma Sport and Exercise Science published by Hodder Arnold. Julie Hancock has a BA(Hons) in Human Movement, a MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and a P.G.C.E Physical Education (secondary). She has had experience in teaching in schools, FE colleges and as a Senior Lecturer in higher education. She has taught a range of sports related programmes over the last 18 years including BTEC Sport and Sport and Exercise Science courses since 1989. Julie is also a HSE Approved First Aid Trainer.

Matt Brown
Matt is a Director of Stafford-Brown Consultancy and provides training in business practices and how they can be applied to schools and FE institutes including areas such as leadership, sales, marketing and policy development and implementation.
Matt has held a number of senior management roles in the hospitality sector and in the business to business environment. He has led large teams, run successful sales and marketing campaigns, delivered change programmes and held substantial P&L responsibility.
Matt is currently Standards Director at a medium sized Plc in the business services sector.

David Pryce David has been head of Pe Faculty, Senior Teacher and AST at two large 11-18 high schools for many years. He has a B.A. (Hons), PGCE and Advanced Diploma in PE. Currently he lectures in Exericse and Sports Science at Manchester Metroplitan University and has responsibilty for Associate teachers of PE and their school experience.
His main academic interests focus on examinations in PE and promoting thinking skills through PE at all key stages.
David is also a senior Examiner for GCSE and A level PE with a leading Examination Board adn operates as senior Moderator, Examiner an dPAper Reviser. As a leading Trainer for the Board, he has a wide experience of delivering INSET events for staff and Revision courses for students, nationally and abroad in both GCSE and A level PE.

Marina Postlethwaite-Bowler
Marina is currently the Head of Sports and Sports related courses at Stafford College of Further Education. She is a specialised marker, an External Verifier and runs professional development training and customised events for a leading examining board. She is a Sport and Sport and Exercise Sciences book reviewer for a number of publishers. She has a Ba Hons in Business and Sports Management, Diploma in Sports Massage and in Sports Injuries and a Diploma in non medical Nutrition

Matt Twitchet
Matt Twitchett is currently Head of Sport at Thurrock & Basildon College in Essex and has been lecturing in Sport / Sport and Exercise science for the last twelve years. Matt has had the experience of teaching across the educational spectrum from level 1 to degree level qualifications in Sport. Matt is an External Verifier and has lead numerous training events for a leading examining board together with being involved in the developing and writing of sports and sport and exercise sciences qualifications.
Matt also works for a publisher reviewing BTEC Sport and Sport and Exercise Sciences text books. He has also had experience with marking and assessing ‘A’ Level Sport qualifications.

Earle Abrahamson
Earle Abrahamson is an internationally published author, therapist, psychologist, educator and teaching fellow. Earle has extensive experience in teaching, assessing and verifying BTEC programmes, having served as head of sport and leisure at a large FE college.
Earle has a B.Phys Ed (sports rehabilitation), BA Hons Clinical Psychology, MA sport psychology/rehabilitation. Earle is centre quality reviewer and verifier for a leading examination board.
Internationally, he has presented his work on teaching and learning practices, reasoning development, feedback and assessment, sports rehabilitation and sport psychology at major conferences, conventions, and workshops. He currently chairs the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL) multinational teaching fellows group and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and served as student liaison officer for the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT). Recently he received the honour and status of senior practitioner in sports therapy with the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (BRCP).

Adam Gledhill
Adam is currently working at York College as a Sport Team Leader, Tutor and Course Leader for Sport and Exercise Sciences and a Tutor in Sports Therapy. He has been teaching on F.E. and H.E. programmes in Sport, Sport and Exercise Sciences and Sports Therapy for 8 years. Adam is also an experienced external verifier (Level 2 and Level 3) and has been part of the qualification writing team (Level 2 and Level 3) for Sport and Sport and Exercise Sciences for a leading examinations board.
Adam has a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences, an MSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences from Leeds Metropolitan University, a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training from Huddersfield University and is currently working towards a PhD with Loughborough University, investigating psychosocial factors associated with talent development in female football players. Alongside his PhD, Adam is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and is currently working towards Sport Psychology (support) accreditation with BASES. Adam is also currently involved with providing interdisciplinary sport science support to young athletes competing in athletics and football, but focussing specifically on the development of psychological skills for talent development and performance enhancement.
Adam is also a co – author of a number of Edexcel endorsed text books and tutor support materials for National Diploma in Sport and National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences, published by Harcourt Education.

Chris Manley
Chris Manley is a senior sports lecturer currently teaching BTEC courses within a successful sports department at an F.E. college. Chris has wide-ranging experience teaching F.E. and H.E. programmes and is also co-author of BTEC course text books including the First Diploma Sport and National Diploma Sport and Exercise Sciences, published by Hodder Arnold. Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science and a background in basketball coaching and refereeing at National League level both in the United Kingdom and Western Europe.
Chris is involved in the professional development of newly appointed lecture staff at College. He is also a Moderator for A-Level P.E. and an External Verifier for a leading examining board. He has also contributed to the development and writing of level 2 and 3 sports qualifications and has run a number of national training events for a leading examining board.
